EXECUTIVE MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Janet K. Marshall
Membership Administrator
Arkansas Bar Association
ASAE ELC Class of 2023
What's your favorite part of working at Arkansas Bar Association?
My favorite part of my work would be the people, both at the office and the attorneys that we work with every day. What is the most unique tradition in your family? Our grandfather, uncle, and father were morticians and owned a family funeral home and cemetery. Our father is still living. We would take annual family trips to funeral director's conventions in Hot Springs. What is your favorite spot in Arkansas? My hometown of Wynne. What motivates you? Being successful in my career motivates me to work hard. If you had to teach a class on one thing, what would you teach? I could teach a class on fundraising tips and suggestions.
If you could travel to any year in a time machine, what year would you choose and why?
If I could time travel, I would want to visit 1945. My maternal grandfather would pass away the next year, when my mother was only eleven years old. I would get to meet him and see my aunt, uncle, and mother as they were during that time.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given? There is more than one way to do something. Any ASAE member you'd like to give a shout out to? I would like to give a shout out to Karen Hutchins. Karen is my boss and suggested I join ASAE. Thank you, Karen!
